This page sets out how Rouge handles personal data for players in the UK, from the moment you register to the checks we run before a withdrawal.
When you open an account with Rouge we collect a defined set of personal details. This includes your name, date of birth, home address, email, phone number and payment details linked to the deposit methods you choose, such as Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer, Revolut or a supported cryptocurrency wallet address. We also log technical data automatically: IP address, device type, browser version and session activity across the site.
Every field we ask for serves a specific purpose. Identity data lets us confirm you are 18 or over and who you say you are. Address and payment data support fraud prevention and let us process withdrawals to the right person. Session and device data help us spot unusual account behaviour, keep the platform stable and tailor game recommendations. None of this data is collected for its own sake; each category maps to a function of running the account safely.
Before releasing a withdrawal, UK operators are expected to confirm a player's identity and the source of funds used to play. Rouge follows standard UK verification practice: this typically means a copy of a passport or driving licence, a recent proof of address such as a utility bill or bank statement, and in some cases a screenshot or statement confirming ownership of the card or account used to deposit. These checks are proportionate to account activity, they are not optional, and they exist to keep the platform free of fraud and underage play.
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a further period after closure to meet audit, tax and anti-money-laundering obligations that apply to UK-facing gambling platforms. Support tickets and verification documents are kept only as long as needed to resolve a query or satisfy a legal retention duty, then scheduled for deletion. Marketing preferences are stored separately from core account records so that opting out of emails does not affect your ability to play or withdraw.
As a UK-based player you can ask to see the personal data we hold on you, request a correction if something is inaccurate, or ask for your data to be deleted once there is no legal reason left to keep it. You can also object to marketing use of your data at any time, separately from your gambling account itself. Withdrawing marketing consent will not close your account or affect pending withdrawals.
We share data only where necessary: with payment processors to complete deposits and withdrawals, with identity verification providers to confirm age and address, and with regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to. We do not sell player data to third parties for their own marketing use. Data in transit and at rest is protected with industry-standard encryption, and access inside our support and compliance teams is limited to staff who need it to do their job.
For any question about the data we hold, a correction request or a deletion request, use the support contact channel listed in your account dashboard or the site footer. Include your registered email address so we can locate your account quickly. We aim to respond to data requests within a reasonable timeframe and will confirm once a request has been actioned.
Gambling should stay enjoyable and within your means. If you want support setting limits, GamCare (0808 8020 133, https://www.gamcare.org.uk/) and BeGambleAware (https://www.begambleaware.org/) offer free, confidential advice. Rouge is intended for players aged 18 and over.
